ABOUT US Saraswathy College of Nursing is run by the Saraswathy Educational Trust which was founded in 2007 as a glowing tribute to the eternal memory of the late B. Saraswathy Amma, a teacher par excellence. Saraswathy Educational trust envisages promotion of nursing education, research activities, community outreach programmes and also to provide quality medical assistance to the needy. Having felt the need for the service to the society by health care, the College of Nursing was established in the year 2007, to promote Quality nursing education, which was an immediate and vital necessity in the field of health care settings .The institute was initially affiliated to the University of Kerala and later it came under the Kerala University of Health Science, Trissur. It is recognized and approved by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and approved by the Indian Nursing Council.

New building for College of Nursing was opened at Bheema Hill, Karode

New hostel building for Girls was opened in the college campus

Post Basic B.Sc. Degree in Nursing Course started but discountinued in 2015 due to the non availability of students

MSc Degree in nursing course started (Medical Surgical Nursing, OBG Nursing, Child Health Nursing and Mental Health Nursing)

1. Promote the overall personality development of the Nursing students through various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

2. Inculcate qualities in the Nursing students to function optimally in the hospital and community settings and also in the field of nursing education and research.

3. Equip students to exhibit leadership quality in multiple areas such as clinical specialty, nursing education, nursing administration and nursing research.

4. Raise the professional and personal standard of students by developing supreme virtues of life such as honesty, integrity, hard work, politeness and total dedication to the purpose.

SUCCESS STORIES  The College started functioning in 2007-08. Twelve years is too short a period to gauge the academic brilliance of a professional institution. Nevertheless, the Saraswathy College of Nursing in its short span of existence has carved a name for it and is fast emerging as a Centre of Excellence for Nursing Education in the state of Kerala. Despite the fact that a majority of students are from socially and economically backward strata of society, we have achieved commendable results at the examinations conducted by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Trissur.
